Message From the Governor
As state employees, we spend each day serving our fellow Idahoans to the best of our
ability. Through these efforts, we improve lives. Our reward is our great fortune to live
in a state that not only is rich in its beautiful and diverse landscape, but also in its vibrant,
growing communities and its active, involved citizens.
For many of us, this spirit of giving extends well beyond the workplace. Our long tradition of generosity through Idaho’s “United We Care” State Charitable Giving Campaign is one such example. Continue...
Campaign Chairman's Letter
Pamela K. Lowe, P.E.
Director
Idaho Transportation Department
I am proud to represent the Idaho Transportation Department as the Chair for the 2008 “United We Care” State Employees’ Charitable Giving Campaign. Please join me in encouraging all of our state employees to participate in this year’s campaign.
Throughout the state of Idaho and the country, social service programs work to address community issues including hunger, abuse, illegal drug usage, children’s programs, family support as well as animal protection.
Idaho state employees exemplify compassion and caring in our public service. This extends beyond the workplace through the generous contributions we make to our communities with donations of both time and money. Employees again have the opportunity to join in the annual State Employees’ Charitable Giving Campaign. This year’s campaign will be held from September 24 – October 31.
Last year, state employees contributed more than $303,000 to worthy causes throughout Idaho! A downturn in the economy can affect these programs particularly hard so there is now, more than ever, a greater need for program support. Your donations and assistance are essential to the continued success of these programs and our State campaign.
Thank you for your participation and enjoy your campaign!
